When architect-dreamer Laszlo Toth and his wife Erzebet flee from post-war Europe in 1947 to reclaim their heritage and witness the birth of modern America, their lives are forever changed by a mysterious and wealthy client. Rating – 9.1: Overall, a great epic that both pays homage to the time period and revolutionizes storytelling as it shows what can be done on such a small budget, all held together by superb cinematography, a deep script and an incredible performance by Adrian Brody.
