Follow the stories of a group of Londoners during the Second World War bombing of the British capital. Saoirse Ronan and Harris Dickinson previously appeared together on the closing night of See How They Run (2022). I’ve seen a lot of WWII movies but this one was completely different and depicts how ordinary Londoners were affected by the bombs dropped and how life was disrupted. Another brilliantly portrayed element was the underlying racial tension in multi-ethnic London at the time. The fear of bombs and other dangers did not curb his inherent racism. It has an almost documentary feel with limited dialogue, which made it even more challenging for the cast to bring out the right level of emotion to build the mood of the film. .Highly Recommended..
